Dr. Diana Nambatya started her farm with a wedding gift of two cows. The poultry farm was started with few birds bought by her husband while coming from an up country trip. The Mixed Farm employs two permanent workers and she runs the farm with her husband, with support from her children, an uncle and aunt. Kwagala  farm supplies milk to Kyanja residents, sells chicks, vegetables, while strawberries are sold on order.

The well organised and home hygiene, very good Innovations have helped Dr. Nambatya earn a profit from a piece of land many would consider useless for farming. She uses automatic drinkers for the chicken, hay for the cows grown on a separate piece of land. She Uses biogas for lighting and cooking. she also sells waste from the biogas plant as fertilizer to other farmers. The farm processes and packages organic fertilizers from biogas waste and sells it at Ush. 10,000 per litre. Kwagala farm is training neighbors and other farmers including women groups such as mothers-Union.
